Sacramento Bike Tours

Frequently Answered Questions

Age Requirements

For safety reasons, the rider must be able to reach the bike pedals and the ground while on the bike (bike is a 26" model.) We recommend that the rider be a mature teen. Riders under the age of 18 must have parental permission to participate on tours. **Wine/Beer Sampling Tours and Dispensary Tours require you to be the age of 21 years old.

Parking the Car

Most of the tours depart from Old Sacramento and there is plenty of covered parking. Other tours that depart from Downtown or Midtown have street parking meters or various nearby parking garages. We try to keep departure/arrival sites near parking facilities.

Pedals or No Pedals

Our electronic bicycles are designed for riders to start off pedaling as they normally would, then use the throttle on the handlebar to keep up the pace. Our bikes are perfect for riders who already obtain the skills of balance while riding a bicycle but lack the momentum of pedaling.

Rainy Day Schedule

A little bit of rain won't stop us. We provide rain ponchos for your convenience  on those drizzly days.

How BIG is too BIG

We have a weight capacity of 320 pounds per bike. We will have a scale available at check-in for verification if necessary so please make sure you're in compliance prior to booking your tour.

Safety & Protection

For safety purposes helmets and reflective vests are required to be worn while on the bicycles. Helmets come in a variety of sizes and include a liner for hygiene purposes.

DUI is a NO NO

Driving under the influence of alcohol or a narcotic is illegal. If at any time a rider becomes intoxicated a rider will be asked to leave the tour and will be subjected to a $75 fee for arranging the return of the equipment back to the trailer. The rider will be left to arrange his or her own transportation from that point forward, no refunds will be given. Certain tours will allow for wine sampling which will be paired with food.

Tour Expectations

Riders will check out a bike and an audio receiver at the departure meeting point. Once all riders have registered the tour guide will go over a safety presentation and then everyone will head out to the various sites that the tour is designed to visit. Riders will have an opportunity to stop and take photos along the tour at various sites. The tour will end in the same location it began.

Prone to Accidents

Safety Guidelines will be discussed prior to each tour. Upon booking everyone is required to sign a Release of Liability Waiver. Due to the fact we will be using public roadways we ask that riders use mature judgement and use all safety precautions and guidelines that are requested of each rider on the roadways.

How Long Will We Be Riding

Tours vary in length. You can expect to add an additional half hour allowing 15 minutes for equipment check-in before and after the tour.

Our tours range anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 1/2 hours depending on the tour selected.

Is Food Involved

All riders are offered a cold bottled water at the beginning and end of the tour.

Riders are welcome to bring a snack if desired and can be consumed on various short stops along the tour.

Planning Ahead

We try to schedule out the tours several months ahead for planning purposes. We are always creating and adding tours to the calendar. Check the Tour Page for the various tours being offered.

Breakdowns and Blowouts

Not to worry we have extra bikes in case of an unfortunate event that occurs such as a flat tire or a dead battery. Our Guides have access to contact us and have a replacement bike delivered to your location.
